Judy’s Experience With All-On-4 Dental Implants

Judy’s Experience With All-On-4 Dental Implants

I am Judy. I have been having difficulty with my teeth for years. A friend of mine worked with Dr. Edward’s cousin, and she highly recommended that I come and see Dr. Edwards. I have never regretted that decision. He supported me totally when I told him I wanted all of them pulled. I wanted to have the implants done and have the permanent teeth put in, so I did not have to worry with dentures and everyday process of taking it out. Maybe they come out, these are perfect. They stay exactly where they were put in. I started with one day of having everything pulled. They put a temporary in my mouth. After the temporary, they were processing the permanent ones. Now I have the permanent ones in. It took approximately nine months from start to finish. Worth every bit. I would do it again in a heartbeat.

Before & After

Dental Implants - Before and After

What Are All-On-x Dental Implants?

The All-On-x implant procedure is a procedure where Dr. Edwards replaces existing decayed or missing teeth with 4 to 8 dental implants. Once the implants have bonded with the bone, a custom-made denture or bridge is then attached to the implants. The result is a full set of beautiful, functional replacement teeth that will last for many years to come. Most patients do not want to have dentures held to the arch of your mouth by glue. People who choose dentures often cannot eat the normal foods they like, so the All-On-x dental implant procedure is the best solution for that.

How Much Do All On x Dental Implants Cost?

Usually, the cost of an All On Four treatment plan will range from $15,000-$25,000 per arch. However, this is a rough estimate and there are many factors go into the cost of dental implant treatment. The type of material use for the fix prosthesis Is one of the main factors that will change the cost. The types of material used for dental implants can range from an all acrylic fix prosthesis all the way up to a titanium zirconium prosthesis with individual porcelain crowns. The truth is, the cost of all on x dental implants can vary depending on several factors, including the type of implant you choose and the complexity of your case.

How Long Do All-On-x Dental Implants Last?

When All-On-x dental implants are placed by a skilled and experienced implant dentist, they can last for many years. With proper care and maintenance, your new teeth can last a lifetime. Dental implant maintenance includes coming to regular exams and keeping that area clean. Dr. Edwards says, “If you buy yourself a car but you don’t take it for oil changes and regular maintenance, that car will deteriorate pretty quickly. The same is true with All-On-x fixed Dental Implants.

FAQs

What are all-on-X dental implants?

All-on-X dental implants are a pinnacle for restoring smiles with extensive tooth loss. The all-on-X technique transforms patients from having no teeth to a fixed set of replacement teeth on implants. Could anything be more life-changing than all-on-X dental implants?

All-on-X dental implants replace an entire arch of missing teeth with only 4-6 implants. The implants are craftily positioned in the jawbone to attach a full mouth denture. All-on-X implants provide root stability, which ensures your teeth don’t move or fall out when eating, talking, or smiling. Dental implants look, function, and feel like natural teeth, letting you enjoy your life to the fullest.

How do we place all-on-X dental implants?

Your treatment starts with a consultation. We’ll discuss the things you don’t like about your smile and what you’d like to see change. The dentist will also use advanced dental imaging tools to determine your implant eligibility. If given the nod, the dentist will surgically place at least four implants per arch to support your full mouth denture. Unlike traditional implants, we’ll restore implants on the same day to provide immediate function and aesthetics. Over the next few months, the implants will biologically fuse (osseointegrate) with the jawbone to form a stable foundation for your permanent teeth.

After 4-6 months, you’ll return to our office, where we’ll replace your temporary restoration with a permanent denture. That’s it! You’ll now eat, smile, and talk confidently like you have 100% natural teeth.

Do I need bone grafting for all-on-X dental implants?

Have you been told you are ineligible for dental implants because of jawbone loss? We’ve good news! Patients with an insufficient jawbone can benefit from all-on-X dental implants. The dentist takes advantage of the available bone to eliminate the need for costly dental grafting techniques.

What are the advantages of all-on-X dental implants?

Whether you have lost your teeth because of injury, periodontal disease, or decay, you can regain your fully functioning smile with all-on-X dental implants. Here are the reasons you’ll never regret investing in all-on-X dental implants.

  • Renewed confidence everywhere you go

How do I maintain my all-on-X dental implants?

All-on-X dental implants are fixed in the mouth, so they are maintained like natural teeth. Observe the following tips to ensure your dental implants remain healthy and strong.

  • Brush and floss your teeth diligently
  • See your dentist at least twice annually for dental cleanings and check-ups
  • Eat a well-balanced diet
  • Invest in a customized mouthguard if you chronically grind your teeth
  • Don’t use your teeth to chew on hard substances like ice or candy

Can I eat normally with all-on-X dental implants?

Stick to easy-to-chew foods as your implants heal (4-6 months). However, when your implants fully integrate with the jawbone, you can virtually eat all your favorite foods.
