Tooth pain is no laughing matter. When you are in pain from a severely decayed or injured tooth, you can find relief through dental crown treatment. Crowns are tooth-shaped restorations placed over compromised teeth to repair the damage and restore their usefulness. At the office of Neal Edwards DDS, we offer CEREC one-visit porcelain crowns to our patients in Riverside, California. Here’s what you should know about CEREC crown technology.
CEREC crowns are custom-crafted restorations that help repair severely decayed or damaged teeth to restore their usefulness. Using CAD/CAM (computer-aided design and manufacturing) technology, CEREC crowns can be designed, fabricated, and fitted in one day to avoid delays in your treatment. In contrast, traditional crown treatment can take up to two weeks to complete.
CEREC porcelain crowns are fabricated with greater accuracy and precision due to the use of CEREC technology. As a result, you get a crown that fits perfectly over your tooth, has a beautiful, natural-looking appearance, and mimics the function of your natural teeth.
CEREC crowns are highly resilient and fully capable of withstanding the constant pressure of biting and chewing. Crowning a compromised or vulnerable tooth restores its health and function to avoid having it removed.
